Vancouver City Council approved regulations restricting short-term housing rentals to an owner’s principal residence. The regulations, which came in the form of amendments to the Zoning and Development and the Licence bylaws, allow rentals of up to 30 days of a principal residence if a business licence is obtained and is meant to discourage short-term rentals of investment properties or hotel-like rentals.
