In early January 2016, a group of past Planning Commissioners and leading planning and development industry professional gathered at two brainstorming works to prepare the groundwork for a public discussion at the January 26th panel discussion. Following wide-ranging reflections on the past year and how the city is evolving, they created a short list of decisions, actions and events of 2015 that could have a significant, or even transformative, impact on the future of the city.

These decisions, actions and events were displayed on posters at the public panel event on January 26, inviting audience comment on the events and suggestions for missing events. The ultimate objective of the public discussion of 2015 events was the selection of 2015 entries to update the online Chronology of Planning and Development in Vancouver timeline.
Sources for the draft list
One of the sources for creating the draft list was the December 21, 2015 of Novae Res Urbis, Vancouver edition, which included a compilation planning and development highlights for the year.
A copy can be downloaded here, courtesy of the publisher, Novae Res Urbis. The Vancouver edition of the publication suspended publication at the end of 2015.
